Holly in blue

Hello all! It's Sunday, so Delphine here today with a little Christmas card using one of the adorable Sylvia Zet stamps by Whimsy Stamps available from Quixotic Paperie...

This super cute image is called Holly. I stamped her on Make It Colour Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured her with Copics. To match my DPs, I added two Make It Crafty Six Point Snowflakes Chipboard that I layered. I painted the largest snowflake in white acrylic paint and the other one with a blue Copic, then I used Stickles on both and a gem for a bit of sparkle. I love these snowflakes!

That's all from me today, thank you very much for your visit, have a great Sunday! Hugs

Best Witches

Good afternoon! It's Sandie here today and I have a card to share which features the super scary sweet Hazel by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps.

I stamped my image with Momento Tuxedo Black onto Make it Crafty Blending card. I used copic markers as my colouring medium.

The sentiment is from the Halloween Trinkets by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This is a set of 8 trinket stamps, 4 large and 4 small and come in both positive and negative images. I have used a small stamp for this card.

To embellish I added some Make it Crafty chipboard bats, which I've inked black, from the Spooky Halloween set. I've also added some black satin ribbon, a large purple flower and 3mm purple flat back pearls.

Thanks for dropping by. Don't forget to check out the NEW stock just in. You can find it HERE!!

More mixed media experimentation!

Happy Friday everyone, it's Mary J here to show you how my experimenting with a more mixed media style using Quixotic Paperie goodies is getting on!  If you're familiar with my usual style you'll know I'm more of a clean lines, cutesy card maker so this new style is hard for me!  So, I'm just getting my inks, materials, tools, etc out without having any particular design in mind (otherwise it will lean to my usual style!) and see what magic happens!  And here's what "happened" to me today...

So, what d'ya think?!  I doubt if I will ever get this mixed media style right but I think I'm finding my own style within the style - if that makes sense!  I didn't take me long to make either - it sort of all fell into place.  I loved using the Authentique Splendid pad along with the exciting new Susana Loves Stamps Blank Canvas Women stamp set and the Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiments Set

That's it from me this week, see you next week!

Abbey Rocks

Hey guys, it's me, Lou, again. :) Wednesday's don't half come round quick these days! LOL.

I've got some sad news today.. this is gonna be my last post for Quixotic. :( I've decided to step down. Gawwd. Don't make me go into detail because I get a little teary! Long story short.. I need to stop spreading myself so thin.. I need to create more 'me' time - no pressure, no deadlines.. just crafting because I wanna. I hope you all understand!! Just know that this isn't the end of my and Quixotic! :)

So to go out with.. guess what I've got for ya? Of course.. some more The Greeting Farm goodness. :)

This is the awesome Abbey from the Creeper Crew. How awesome is this girl?! VERY awesome. I had such a blast colouring her up!! I've coloured her up with PMs and FMs to match my mixed patterned papers. The slice with the alpha is from Cosmo Cricket - upCycle, the smaller grid and the swirly swirls are from two Basic Grey collections.

As for sentiments, I've used some much loved Whimsy Ticket Sentiments - Treasured Moments and coordinating die.

That's about all for the Quixotic yummyness today!! Hope you enjoy.
Don't forget to enter our Sketch Challenge to be in with a chance of winning a £15 gift certificate for Quixotic Paperie.

Butterfly Kisses Post-It Note Holder

Good morning! It's Sandie here today and I have a cute little post-it note holder to share. I found the tutorial for this over on Splitcoast Stampers and it's such an easy tutorial to follow.

To make this I used
Papers - My Mind's Eye
Cardstock - The Paper Mill
Butterfly Sentiment - Whimsy Stamps
Satin Ribbon (two x 5" lenghts)

The base is a 7" x 4" piece of card, scored @ 3.25" from each end and leaving a .05" spine in the middle.

The carstock matts are 3" x 3.75" and the patterned paper adhered to them is 2.75" x 3.5". You need 3 of each - 1 for the outside front and 2 for inside. The ribbon is adhered to the card inside before I add the matts on top of it.

I stamped the sentiment onto cryogen card with black momento ink, hand cut it out and adhered it with 3D foam. To finish it off I added 2 pink pearls on either side of the sentiment.

Hope it inspires!

I also  used the current sketch from our MONTHLY SKETCH CHALLENGE when creating my post-it note holder. You can find the sketch and details HERE

Have a great day

SCACD Mariposa Eyes

Hi everyone!! It's Sandie here today with a sweet card I made using one of the new SCACD stamps.

She is Susana Loves Stamps - Mariposa Eyes and you can buy her in the Eyes of Dreams set of 4 stamps with a bonus stamp or as a single stamp.

My papers are Prima's Meadow Lark and I've matted them onto pink, white and lilac cardstock. I coloured my image with copic markers and added some star dust stickles to her wings.

The beautiful circle sentiment is from Whimsey's Spring Letter Seals. I've just added a touch of sparkle around the edge.

Well I hope you are feeling inspired to get your crafty on today. Thank you so much for popping in!

What a mad, crazy, wonderful idea!

Hi all!  Mary J here and I hope everyone has been enjoying the unseasonably fabulous weather we have been having recently (well, it's been good in the UK!).  YAY!!  I'm in a good mood today!  Today I'm here with a card using one of the new Gorjuss stamps, called Alice from the gorgeous Quixotic Inspirations store...

Isn't she just lovely?  I just had to do some more colouring on Bazzill Basics Smoothies kraft cardstock and this time I used a mixture of Copics and Prismacolor pencils to try for a whimsical soft look.  I matched her up with papers from the Glitz Design French Kiss pad and the sentiment is from the Kraftin' Kimmie Alice Dormouse stamp set.  Lastly, I kept the embellishing to a minimum by using the Whimsy Shapeology Banner Pennants die set.  Here's a close up of the colouring...

That's it from me today!  See you next week!

You're the best!!

It's Wednesday again, where is this month going?! Time for some more Quixotic Inspiration! :)

With Mother's Day only a few days away I've been pumping out the Mothers Day cards! :) Obviously. I got a Mam, and a Grandma, and my boyfriend and my Mam wanted cards made for their mothers. Boy oh boy. Good job I don't have a phobia of pink, right?

Speaking of pink.. pink was the basis of my card I'm sharing today. Pink, and classy!!

Here is another gorgeous lady from Kraftin' Kimmie Everyday Girls line - Sophia. Isn't she a diva?! I've coloured her using ProMarkers and fussy cut her out. I've adhered her to the card using dimensional adhesive.

As for the sentiment I used Whimsy Everyday Mini Postage Sentiments and coordinating Die stamped onto the same yummy Bazzil cardstock as the base card.

Thanks for stopping by today! :)
