Wonderful Marcella

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! Today I have a very "flaming" card for you with a gorgeous Stamping Bella Uptown Girls Stamp - Marcella Masquerade, oh she is so classy! I imagined her with very vivid colours and here is the result...

I stamped Marcella Masquerade onto watercolour paper and did the background in watercolours. I then coloured her in pencil and stamped a Some Odd Girl sentiment (from the Thank You Mae set). With white and gold Colorbox ink, I stamped around the image using texture stamps for a nice finishing touch.

There are lots of other gorgeous Uptown Girls available from the store, you can see them all HERE
Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely Sunday! Hugs,
Delphine xx

Coffee and Friends

Hi! It's Sandie here today and I have a card to share which features Clarissa and Camille Share a Cafe, one of the fabulous Uptown Girls stamps from Stamping Bella.

The stamp comes with an awesome sentiment "Coffee and Friends, a perfect blend".

I stamped my image onto Make it Colour Blending card with memento black ink and coloured it up with copic markers. I applied glossy accents to the 'bubbles' on the coffee cup, for added texture, but I can't pic it up with the camera :(

The papers I've used are from both the Fact and Fiction collections by Basic Grey. To embellish I added some flowers, pearls, chipboard shapes, a Prima button flossed with twine, and some ribbon.

Vespa babe!

Happy weekend everyone!  Mary J here with my weekly DT make to show you some more of my faves from the Quixotic Paperie store!  Today I have a card (no surprise, there then!) using Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Vienna on her Vespa...

I just wish I had super long legs like this super cool gal!  I matched her up with papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline: Dolled Up pad and of course I had to use some more of the lovely My Favorite Things Die-Namics.  This time I used the Simply Scallops MEDIUM die, Dainty Dots Border die and the sentiment (which comes with the stamp) is stamped on one of the Designer Labels 4 STAX.

Well I gotta go now - enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you soon!

Everyone needs a sidekick...

Hey hey, it's Mary J here which means it's Thursday and only one more day to Friday - woo hoo!!!  Another loooong working week but at least I got to play with some Quixotic Paperie goodies!  Here is what I made this week...

Yeah, I know, another Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella from me again - but I can't help it, I just luuuurve these gals and they are perfect for my gal-friends!!  This is Pattie and Dottie Friends Forever and I have always wanted to wear a feather boa like that!! The sentiment inside and out come with the gals too - the inside says "Who else is gonna kick you in the side now and then?"  Brilliant!

I used the new My Minds Eye Miss Caroline: Dolled Up and Marianne D Creatables Flower and Leaves (currently 25% off in the shop!) - aren't they just fabby?!  And I used the current Quixotic Inspirations February/March sketch - there's still plenty of time to join in here!  That's it from me today - see you same time, same place next week!

I'm here when you need me...

Happy Thursday everyone!  Have you seen the new Stamping Bella Uptown Girls in the Quixotic Paperie shop?!!  Well, it's Mary J here and those who know me, know that I just luuuurve these fun, modern gals!!  As soon as Elaine put them in the shop last week, this one (plus others!) went straight into my basket and was delivered just in time for me to make this card for today....

This is Perry on her Laptop and it comes with that fab sentiment too!  The paper (another item that fell into my basket!) comes from the new My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks pad.  I used it to paper piece the armchair and you can see where I used my Copics to shade it to give it depth.

And do you like the layout?   I used the new Quixotic Inspirations no. 4 sketch - another one from me so I hope you like it and get to play along this month for a chance to win a £15 Quixotic Paperie voucher!  Check out the deets on the sketch post here!

That's it from me today - see you next Thursday for more QP gorgossity!

Thursday, 12 January 2012

Hello everyone!  I know we're nearly half through January, but this is my first post since December so....Happy New Year to you from me, Mary J!

So to kick start my first post on Quixotic Inspirations for 2012, I have made a birthday card for a very very special friend of mine...

And, yes, she is this gorgeous and sexy!!  And, yes, shopping is at the top of her hobbies list!  Don't you just love the new Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella? This is Posh Has a Present and it comes with that cool sentiment.  I wanted to keep the very modern feel of her by using Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock and then papers from the Cosmo Cricket Upcycle paper pad.  To keep it from being too plain, I created the borders using Whimsy Shapeology double scallop border die (isn't it pretty?!!).

Okay, that is it from me today - make sure you come back on Saturday for a new monthly sketch challenge!!

"Miso" wanna see you!

Mary J here with a card using one of the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps called Sushi Girls Chelsea & Lauren...

I had to have this stamp!  It reminds me of when one of my favourite friends and I go for one of our sushi lunches.  My friend definitely looks as sophicated as these gals - me not so much!  And look at those legs - yowsa!  I matched the image and sentiment up with papers from the Cosmo Cricket Upcycle and Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock for the base.

Come back on Saturday to see the winners for this month's sketch challenge!
