Opal the Optimist

Good morning!! Today I have a little White on White inspiration to share, featuring Opal the Optimist from Stamping Bella.

I stamped my image onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured it up with copic markers. I cut her out in a circle using Nestabilites, and mounted it onto a scalloped circle. I used various dies and an embossing folder to add loads of extra detail and texture to the card.

You make me smile

It's with sadness today that I write this post.  I have been on Elaine's design team for Quixotic Paperie for 2 and a half years but I have now decided to step down from this fab team.  :(  A big thank you to Elaine for having me on board - not only have I loved playing with the gorgeous stash, it's been a privilege to have made friends with such a kind, sweet person too!  I will miss the team too - big waves to Sandie and Delphine!

So, for my last Quixotic Inspiration project I have made this card...

I love this wistful, sweet monster!  This is SCACD Oddly Sweet Moments and you can either buy him here or in a the set here.  I stamped him on my favourite Make It Colour blending cardstock and then coloured him in with my Copics and used my MFT Die-Namics - Fishtail Flags STAX to layer the papers.

Okay, well I am off for now for the very last time here at Quixotic Inspirations!  Thanks for visiting and take care!

Christmas Trees CAN be blue

Hello all! It's Delphine here for the last day of our Festive Christmas week! Have you all entered the Giveaway? If not, you have until 30th November to do so, all the details can be found here! For today, I made a card featuring a super cute Some Odd Girl stamp and some Make It Crafty chipboard perfect for the season...

And yes, of course, Christmas trees can be blue, why not ;)! First I stamped Ornament Tia on Make It Colour Blending Card in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured her with my Copics. I stamped the inside of the bauble with a motive that is part from the Ornament Tia set and my sentiment comes from the set too. And that gorgeous tree is by Make It Crafty from the Wonky Christmas Trees Chipboard set. I used the biggest tree - 6 parts that can be layered. I used acrylic paint to colour it and give it some texture - I actually painted it green first, but changed my mind and went for blue in the end :)! And at the top, I put a Delicate Snowflake Chipboard, covered in Stickles.

That's all from me today, thank you very much for your visit! Have a great Sunday! Hugs

A Christmas Elf Banner

Hi everyone!! It's Sandie here with a sweet banner I made for FESTIVE THEMED WEEK here on the Quixotic Paperie blog!!

My banner features the Christmas Elves Collection from Make it Crafty. I've used Make it Colour Blending card and copic markers for my images.

Socks

Rocky

Floppy

Zippy

Tinkles

Duffy

I  hand cut the ribbon pennants. My patterned paper is from Echo Park and I've stitched them down onto the base. Then I layered on some white doilies, lace and baker's twine before adhering the images with 3D foam dots. I then tied the pennants together with deep red ribbon, and I tied little bells in between them.

I also added some Make it Crafty lasercut chipboard from the Holly Decorations set which I've coloured with pencils and added some glossy accents to.

Don't forget to check back on Saturday 24th November for a festive themed giveaway!

Winter Wonderland & Christmas Week!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today with a wintery card to announce the beginning of a special week at Quixotic Inspirations! We are having a Christmas themed week, with lots of Christmas inspiration AND yes, a giveaway to watch out for during the week!

To start the week, I thought I would make a scene and turn it into a present to someone...

My scene is coloured with Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card and features a Gorjuss Girl called Toadstools (I only kept the character) and Snowman With Scarf. For the background, I used elements from the new Make It Crafty Winter Backgrounds Collection - the bench is Winter Seat and the tree background was made with the Pine Trees stamps, a set of two different trees which you can combine as you want to create a forest.
I added a Whimsy Stamps sentiment from the Holiday Notables 2 Set and die cut the shape with my Shapeology Die - Snowflake Notables 2 and cut off the snowflakes to have the shape fit my scene.

That's all from me today! Don't forget to stop by again this week for more Christmas inspiration and watch out for the giveaway! Have a great Sunday! Hugs

Eyes and Roses

Hello all! It's Delphine here today with more inspiration from the new Susana Loves Stamps Eyes Collection, Bon Jour Eyes - I just cannot resist those gorgeous Eyes!!! I thought I could make a simple scene using one of the fantastic Make It Crafty background stamps and here is the result...

The rose on my lady's hat reminded me of that Make It Crafty background and I just had to use them together. I stamped Bon Jour Eyes and Rose Garden on Make It Colour Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured both with my Copics. I cut out my lady and put her on foam squares for a bit of dimension. I kept my layout very simple as always and only added a Make It Crafty Swirly Corner (coloured with a brown Copic) and a tiny rose.

You can see all the gorgeous Eyes here and all the Make It Crafty stamps here to make beautiful scenes! And don't forget, if you order today, there is 10% off all the items in the store! It ends tonight at midnight UK time! Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely Sunday! Hugs,

Calling all strong women!

Happy Friday everyone!  Mary J here with a card using another of the new Susana Loves Stamps available in the Quixotic Paperie store...

This is my most fave of the collection!  She is called Adventure Eyes who I stamped on to my favourite Make It Colour Blending Card again and coloured in with my Copic Markers. I matched her up with My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy Boy papers which I distressed and then inked up the edges using my Ranger Archival Ink Pad in Jet Black

I framed the sentiment using the MFT Die-Namics Well Worn Greetings Dies and for the elements I used MFT Die-Namics Vine Border and MFT Die-Namics Royal Rose die.   Because I wanted one of the flowers to be smaller than the other, I just cut off a few of the larger petals before I rolled it up.

I hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it!  Have a fab weekend and see you next week!
