Merry Christmas

Hi T'is me again Sheila thought I'd share my Christmas card with you :-).

On this little cutie I've used a small stamp from Stempelglede's grunge collection

around the edge of my image, the designer papers are from Memory box Brioche 6x6, and then to had a flourish I've used some Make it Crafty snowflake chippies.

Distress Stain picture frame!

Hello Kim here, wanted to stop by with a little gift idea I have made

I have stained the wood with Tim Holtz Distress Stain - Broken China, love the result!

Then I have stamped Stempelglede - Grunge Collection on the frame and enhanced with perfect pearl powder.

The Make It Crafty - Butterfly Leaves - Lasercut Chipboard have been coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Stain - Wild Honey and Tim Holtz Distress Stain - Forest Moss.

Then embellished with Viva Decor: Glitter Liner - Holo Iridescent, I also rubbed a little of the glitter onto the frame too!

Hi it's Kim, here's a little card I made today,

I have been eager to colour this cutie Gorjuss - Ruby - Rubber Stamp and had such fun! I masked her to very lightly spray the sky. The colours are inspired from these gorgeous My Mind's Eye - 6x6 Paper Pad - Stella & Rose - Mabel papers.

I have fussy cut a couple of the flowers from the patterned papers and finished with a sentiment from the gorgeous Stempelglede - Just A Note in the top corner!

Also I got out my WRMK - Sew-Easy Stitch Piercer Tool, used WRMK - Sew-Easy Floss - Yellow, with Sew-Easy Stitch Piercer Head - Zig Zag on the Sew-Easy Piercing Mat.

and this is the selection of copics I've used... Spilling over my pale.

Stamping Art!

Hello it's Kim here, I know it's been a while since I posted on here so many things going on at home but I hope that my little project will make up for it :)

I started out with the intention of creating a card but sometimes the project just follows their own route and wants to be a little different! As you can see I'm still using the wonderful characters in the The Greeting Farm - Stamp Kit- Creeper Crew - Creepin' and I picked the fabulous Sasha for my picture. Sasha reminds me very much of Maoleidigh, I've coloured with copics and her dress is paper pieced.

Inspired to create a background with clouds and sky I used a masking technique by tearing paper cloud shapes and using repositional glue before airbrushing. I had the idea of creating a rainbow, just had to be done with those clouds ROTFL! I did however need to spray a generous amount of colourless blender to make the rainbow a little more transparent!

I obviously have a love of long wild grass I just go with it and the grass gradually grows as I colour and with wild flowers like dandelions... so fun to create. It doesn't show in my photos but I've added just a touch of spica glitter to the flower centres.

Now onto the fun part of my project, Here's a close up of the yummy new MAKE IT CRAFTY LASERCUT CHIPBOARD. I've used swirly corners for three of the corners and the butterflies are from the fine swirls set. I've glued all the laser cut pieces in place before giving the frame a weathered crackle effect. Then a little distress stain was lightly added to age it.

The mount is patterned paper from the gorgeous GRAPHIC 45 ONCE UPON A SPRINGTIME

I added a grunge edge to the cutout of the mount using distress ink and stamping stempleglede grunge collection directly onto the patterned paper.

I used that many colours to complete my picture I needed two pots to picture the copics I used LOL!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies out there! It's Rowena here, and I've come to show you a Mother's Day card I made the other day using the absolutely gorgeous Stempelglede Grunge Flourish Hearts set. I embossed the gorgeous heart onto Kraft card-the original embossing powder colour was actually a lustre pink.

Got inspired to dig these stamps out after seeing Kim's stunning samples in the new Craft Stamper magazine using the Vintage Garden Set (now on back order after the popularity of the article!)
I also used the yummy Prima papers, Kraft card and some gesso around the distressed edges.

Great Things Will Happen!

Hello, it's Kim here...  hope you had a fun week so far! I wanted to stop by with a card I made using some fabulous goodies found in Quixotic Paperie shop.

I bought the stunning My Mind's Eye - 6x6 Paper Pad - Stella & Rose - Mabel because I loved the gorgeous patterns and the fabulous colours! But for a change I thought I would stamp the edges of the paper with Stempelglede - Grunge Collection.

  

When I saw this adorable set The Greeting Farm - Oliver & Amelia - Little Dreamer I just knew I wanted to create a starry scene. Oliver has been coloured using copics and the airbrush system. The sentiment and Star is from the same set too.

Hello! It's Kim here... wanted to stop by with a little set made using lots of goodies found in Quixotic Paperie

 I used the NEW MEMORY BOX 6x6 - PIXIE papers, the gorgeous Stempelglede - Just A Note... I mount mine onto EZ Mount - Static Cling Mounting Foam - 8.5" x 11" Sheet, It's a larger set so it will take pretty much the whole sheet.

I then coloured the Pink Paislee - Artisan Elements - Frames  using distress inks and copper paint dabber. You might just see that I have used the WRMK - Sew-Easy Stitch Piercer Tool + Straight Head and WRMK - Sew-Easy Piercing Mat but just left the dentation without thread, a little faux stitching. I've added a little paper swirl from Marianne D Creatables - Frames/Swirls LR0116.

I thought it would be nice to create a co-ordinating envelope in the same Pixie papers and I added a Tando Creative - Flourish 5 to the flap. I simply applied copper paint dabber, when dry, I adhered in place.

Friends of Quixotic Paperie: Jane Johnson

The lovely Jane Johnson has been at it again, creating gorgeous cards! 

Firstly I'd like to share a very recent creation, using the stunning Guardian of Hearth & Home stamp by Carmen Medlin for SCACD Stamps.  This image is a favourite of mine, and Jane has created a beautiful card showcasing it.

You can view the card and full details over in this post on Jane's blog.  I love the magical effect Jane has created, and the dress looks so striking coloured in white on kraft cardstock.  Jane has also used Stempelglede stamps to accent, which leads nicely into the next cards I would like to share with you!

Over the past couple of months, Jane has created a number of beautiful samples using Stempelglede stamps.
