Nativity scene

Hi everyone!  It's Mary J here with my last card for Quixotic Inspiration this year as Quixotic Paperie is closed for the Christmas period from midnight tonight - so you still have time to place an order for dispatch on 16 December - get there quick!

So of course I had to make a Christmas card because I still have a few more to make for this year - and there's me thinking I was organised for it!!

This little cutie is called Reason for the Season by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  I matched her up with Memory Box papers (Elaine is out of this one now but the others are just as gorgeous!) and that gorgeous Holly Vine border die cut by Memory Box and Marianne D Creatable Snowflake dies, finished off with 4mm flat backed pearls

Well, that is it from me this year - I'll see you back here in 2012 with more Quixotic Paperie gorgossity!

Merry Christmas and  a Happy New Year!

Bookworm

Hey guys, its me, Lou. Sorry for such a late post. I'm typing this just now as I eat my bacon, egg and cheese bagel.. after I managed to drag myself out of bed from the most delicious lie in ever. Best get a move on though, I gotta get ready for work soon! :)

I made this little corner bookmark last night.. in the dead of the night, after my mother had my traipsing around Asda at 11 o'clock for our Christmas shopping!! Really?! Really. I coulda cried! I haven't been in the house long enough to make anything substantial over the past few days.

I've used one of my most FAVE sentiment stamps from Paper Makeup - EVA. I keep coming up with projects just so I can use it again. :) Heehee.

I have stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa ink from Memento.

That's all from me until the New Year me thinks. So MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all, and ALL THE BEST FOR THE NEW YEAR!!
Take it easy and enjoy the holidays.

Gorjuss Moleskines

Hi everyone, it's Sandie here today with a little something to share in the hopes that you'll find some inspiration ;)

I recently purchased some moleskine cahier journals to alter as a gifts. I stamped Gorjuss - Toadstools on the front of each journal with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copic Markers. I was afraid the copic ink would seep through the kraft but it didn't.

Then I stamped each of their names underneath the image and added 3 flat backed pearls and some ribbon to embellish.

This is my last post before Christmas so I would just like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and a heathly, happy & prosperous New Year.

Sandie

The lovely image is a Make it Crafty - Christmas Elf  ''Tinkles'', paper from Maja Design, for the background I've used a gorgeous Inkadinkado stamp and the Christmas balls are made using Die-namics. For the finishing touch I've used Make it Crafty ''Snowflake Stars''-Lasercut Chipboard.
That's all from me for today, thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

In fact this is such a useful stamp that you will see it in an article in the latest issue of Papercrafts Essentials (Issue 75) - Tee Hee! Keep your eyes out for that!

I was wondering if this cute little lady - The Collector - from the Gorjuss range would also fit this chair? I'm not sure of the sizes but she would look super cute if she does fit, what do you think?

"Miso" wanna see you!

Mary J here with a card using one of the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps called Sushi Girls Chelsea & Lauren...

I had to have this stamp!  It reminds me of when one of my favourite friends and I go for one of our sushi lunches.  My friend definitely looks as sophicated as these gals - me not so much!  And look at those legs - yowsa!  I matched the image and sentiment up with papers from the Cosmo Cricket Upcycle and Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock for the base.

Come back on Saturday to see the winners for this month's sketch challenge!

Wish Big

Wednesday! :) My day to share a little Quixotic inspiration with you all. Sorry I missed you last week, time just ran away with me. Gosh. The run up to Christmas is non-stop! Anywho, I have something very un-Christmas-y, for ya today. I also have a little confession.. I forgot to use this months sketch. *slaps wrists* I do have a good reason though.. I was no where near the laptop when I created this card. I just wanted alone time with my pens and papers. Can you blame a girl? :)

I used the gorgeous Blush Bonnie from The Greeting Farm. It just so happens that this stamp is on sale right now, so if you haven't got yours yet, nows the time!! When I first seen the Blush Society release from TGF, I nearly died. I put it off for ages, but I'm so glad I gave in and bought Bonnie. :)

I've coloured her skin and hair using Copics and the rest of her clothing using ProMarkers. Her dress is.. pink!! To match my patterned papers from My Minds Eye. Madison Avenue 6x6 pad.

The patterned paper I've used for the base of my design looked a little bare, so I added some pink scrolls using the Stempelglede Grunge Scroll stamp. Love this for little details. :) I also stamped the cardbase too. I've added some pink twine to the ribbon and down the right hand side - holding the lace in place. There are loads of different twines from WRMK and Divine Twine to choose from over at Quixotic Paperie.

I think that just about covers it from me. :) Enjoy your Wednesday, whatever you're doing.

Batty about Halloween??

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday and therefore my turn to share a little something I've made in the hopes that you'll find some inspiration ;)

I know, I know.. Halloween is long gone by but but I didn't get a chance to use this cutie by Kraftin' KimmieBatty and Catty - so before we see the end of 2011 I had to ink her up... and now I'm ahead for next year's Halloween, lol.

My papers are Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus and they are currently at a fantastic sale price so now is your time to stock up! I simply cut three 1.5x4.25" strips of matching papers and adhered them to black cardstock.

I have stamped my image onto Make it Colour blending card with Momento tuxedo black and coloured with Copic markers - Skin: E000, 00, 01, 11. R20. Hair: E21, 23, 25. Dress: G20 21, 24. Cat: W00, 01, 03, 05. 07. Pumpkin: YR01, 14, 18. Ground: E30, 31, 33

The fabby sentiment comes with the image, which is a BIG plus in my book :D I cut it out using Labels 18 Nestabilities and inked the edge with Brushed Cordoroy distress ink.

To embellish I added some flat back pearls.

I hope you like!
Sandie

Which means only 24 days to go before it's Christmas!!  And it's Thursday which means it's Mary J here using more of those gorgeous Quixotic Paperie goodies!  I am so in love with the Make It Crafty Elf Collection that I just had to make another card with it, this time using Floppy...

I used Echo Park papers from the Everybody Loves Christmas kit collection and Bazzill Basics Smoothie Kraft cardstock for the card base.  For embellishing I used a snowflake from the Marianne D Creatables Swedish Ice Star set and tied some lovely Cherry Red Divine Twine through the button.  You can get a Big Button Pack for just £5.99 - there is bound to the perfect button in this huge pack!

Okay, that's it from me today!  Don't forget to check out all of the lovely new stock!
