Sweetest Wishes

Happy Tuesday!! Sandie here and I would like to share a card I made using one of Some Odd Girl's rubber stamp sets - Holly Day Gwen

I have stamped onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured with Copic markers. Then I trimmed my image out and adhered it to the card on 3D foam dots.

The papers I've used are from My Mind's Eye and I've stitched them down onto teal cardstock. The sentiment comes with the image set. The 'gift' is from another Some Odd Girl Set called Deer Mae.

To embellish I've just added some pearls, a flower and a button which I have threaded some Sew Easy fancy floss {bakers twine} through.

I loosely used the sketch from this month's challenge when I designed my card. You can find the sketch and prize details HERE

And you can find Quixotic Paperie on Facebook HERE to get all the latest on new products as they come in.

Goods...under the tree

Hi ladies, today I have these Flat Fold Gift Boxes to share, and please visit this blog post for the tutorial. They are very easy to make and the nicest thing about them is that you can send them in an envelope!!!!!!!!! Isn't this great? There is enough place inside for a little card where you can write down a few words.

I've used some Graphic 45 papers- ''Christmas Emporium'' and some Wooden Shapes -Reindeer Leaping and Snowman, such great alterable items, because you can paint them, draw on them, or use them as card toppers. Mine are paper-pieced. I've used also some cork and Make it Crafty Lasercut Chipboard -Snowflakes Stars, I really love them, perfect finishing touch for your Christmas cards!. The only thing I didn't have were good strong magnets, which should keep the boxes closed, so I've used paperclips instead. And I know, the photo's are bad, again I couldn't take better ones, it was such a dark cloudy day, unfortunately!

That's all from me for today, please meet me next Sunday, same time, same place.

Hugs,
Alina

All Of Them Elves

Hello all, Kim Dellow here for your Saturday make and I have a little selection of Christmas elves for some notelet cards for children.

I've used the Make It Crafty Christmas Elf Collection for these little cards, so say 'hello' to:

Zippy

Socks

Scruffy

Rocky

I've used some Kraft card from my stash. Elaine has some Bazzill Basics Smoothies Kraft card in the shop, I think it might be a lighter Kraft colour than the kraft I've used but it would still look fabulous!

Well hope you have a great Saturday and don't forget to pop into the shop to see all the new goodies.

Christmas Angel

Good morning all. Yet again I've had this project made since Monday afternoon, but I'm only just typing this post up midnight Wednesday morning. Seriously. Where ARE my time management skills?! Best make this short and sweet! :)

This project is the end result of an idea that has been in my head since.. what?! Mid October. Yes, I'm slow! :) I've wanted to make my own little 'money wallets' for Christmas, you know the type, right? I'll take some pictures of the inside when I actually have a note to 'embellish' it! HA! Then you'll get the whole shabang.

Meet the super cute little angel from Kraftin' Kimmie - Seraphina. I left out the halo and the sentiment from the set and used my own from Hero Arts. The patterned papers are from Echo Park - Holly Jolly Collection. I used a nestie to create the shape behind Seraphina and made a banner shape from a gorgeous little polka dot paper for her to sit on. :) I also used some yummy Prima E Line Pearls to embellish the wallet a little. I got them in the massive sale Elaine had a while back. Still got a LOT to use!!

That's all from me for now. I gotta get my butt to bed! I'll update my blog later on today with colours and other embellishments and stuff used on this card. Hopefully I'll be able to scrounge a note from somewhere to show you all the full effect of the inside too. :)

Make a Wish....

Happy Tuesday!! Sandie here and I would like to share a card I made using one of Kraftin' Kimmie's wonderful stamps which I have stamped onto Make it Colour blending card and coloured with Copic markers.

The papers I've chosen are Jack & Jill Celebrate by Prima and I've stitched them down onto pink and green cardstock. The sentiment is from Paper Makeup's Dandy Wish set.

I've added some Make it Crafty Round Leaves lasercut chipboard which I pained with white acrylic paint and glittered, pearls, and flowers which have been stickled for extra sparkle.
Thanks for dropping in, I do hope you are even a little bit inspired :)

Today I have this card to share:

This is a Stamping Bella stamp which belongs to the Uptown Girls Collection -''Clarissa and Camille Share a Cafe'' and it comes with the matching sentiment, isn't this great? The card is on its way to a good friend which I haven't seen for a while; I hope to meet her soon and drink a cup of coffee together. I've used my Derwent pencils to colour the image and the papers were some scraps from ''My Mind's Eye''. The flowers are made using Die-namics.

Icky Flubu

Hiya everyone. :) I've got another 'different' project to share with you today, in the sense that it isn't a traditional card. :) I always love finding projects and different ways to use envelopes, so when I came across a card over at Christinas Scrapkammaren, I just had to give it a go.

Having a bunch of 'unusual' sized envelopes (because it's a little obsession I have on the side), but not being one to dedicate myself to making a whole mini album, little projects such as this are fab, and much quicker than an album.

So.. incase you haven't met him before.. I'd like to introduce to to Flubu, from Paper Makeup Stamps. Isn't he lush? Heehee. He put a right smile on my face when I came across him over at the Quixotic Paperie shop, and knew I had to have him. He'll come in terribly handy around this time of year, everyone is getting ill with some bug or another. Yuck.

HA! Don'tcha just wanna hug him till he dies?! Green with pink spots. Of course. I think next time round I'ma colour him up like that big fluffy monster from Monsters Inc. Know the one? Aqua with purple dots - beaut!! I've used some papers from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection. I've also paper pieced his little towel using the same collection. Ahhh. :)

This is the insert which fits inside the envelope. A space equivalent to the inside of a card. I think it's such a neat idea, don't know how I haven't come across it before. I used the sentiment which comes with Flubu. "Sorry you feel so icky" Perfect? No? Just to finish off the white panel I stamped Flubu in Memento Tuxedo Black, stamped it off once and then stamped it onto the panel - not such a stark black then. :)

This shows how it all goes together, sort of. Christina had left the flap of her envelope free, but I decided to fold mind down and adhere it under the front panel of the card. I used a 1/2" circle punch to cut a little piece out of the back of the envelope. The pink ribbon fits perfectly into the gap, so from the front it all looks flush. :)

Hope you've enjoyed this as much as I did making it. P.S This envelope measures approx 3.75"x2.75" give or take a few eighths. :)

Christmas Elf - Floppy

Hi everyone! Sandie here again. Have you seen our November sketch challenge starts today? Check out the post below for details of the sketch ... and the prize ;)

I have a card to share with you that I made using one of Make it Crafty's Christmas Elves. This little guy is called Floppy and he's been coloured with Copic Markers.

My papers a mix of Crate and October Afternoon and I've matted them with brown, white and blue card. I painted the chipboard chipboard snowflakes, also from Make it Crafty, with white acrylic paint and once they dried I added loads of glitter to them.

The Ribbon and basic Grey pearls are from my stash.

Hope you like :)
