You're hot stuff!!!

Hi ladies, it's nice to see you again and I'm glad I have a card to share.

I love this image, I would colour it again and again, so meet Kenny K's ''Buggin Drummer'' and I thought the sentiment would be perfect, it's from Elzybells, retired unfortunately. I've used Die-namics to make the music notes, QuicKuts dies to make the stars, the papers are from My Mind's Eye, an older collection and the brads are from stash, I'm sorry I don't have the package anymore.

I hope you like my card, wish you a great week, and see you next Sunday, same place, but a little bit earlier than today.

Hugs,
Alina

The Bestest of Friends! :)

Good morning!! Hope you've all had a good start to the week. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet 'cause I am pooped!! I did have a plan in mind to use the Quixotic Sketch as inspiration for this card, but I've only recently got my laptop back to life after leaving my charger at my boyfriends over the weekend. NEVER again. I've been having withdrawls. So, inspite of the fact I don't have a photographic memory.. I had to go with something different.

Instead I used an adorable Some Odd Girl Stamp - Tobie and His Puppy stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I've had this stamp for forEVA but only just got round to inking him up now. Is that bad?! I don't know why I put it off for so long, him and his pup are the sweetest (of friends)!! There are so many colour options with this image too, you could make your project really personal! :)

I have coloured Tobie using Copics and ProMarkers to match papers from MME Mabel 6x6 paper pad. I've also used a paper doily and some American Crafts Ribbon. The edges have been distressed and I've doodled around the main panel on the cardbase using a brown fineliner.

Like I said, short and sweet! ;) Enjoy your Wednesday.. whatever you may be doing.

I coloured my image with copic markers and added loads of Star Dust Stickles for sparkle. Then I trimmed her out and mounted her on 3D dots onto some music sheet paper and a white doily.

Hope you like :) Thanks for dropping in

Prima Meets Quixotic Paperie Sketch Challenge

Hey Guys, have you played along with our first Sketch Challenge yet? It's a great sketch from Mary and if you play along you could win a gift token to spend in Quixotic Paperie or see your work here on the blog.

Well here is my take on the sketch, I've used paper from the Prima Marketing Alla Prima pack and the Prima Marketing Londonerry cling stamp set for this card.

The stamping uses the Archival Coffee ink pad.

A little bit of stitchery, a bit of tearing, some mulberry paper and embossing for this make.

If you want to see the sketch then pop on other to the Sketch Challenge post, there is more inspiration with this fabulous sketch here on the blog and on the design team's blogs (listed in the sidebar).

Have fun with the challenge and see you next week.

Here's a close up where you can see I used some Fluffy Stuff on her clothing trim...

I used papers from My Minds Eye 12 Days of Christmas pad and the snowflake is from the Marianne D Creatables Swedish Ice Star die set.

I haven't seen you around..

Hi everyone! It's Sandie here with a project I created using one of the super cute Paper Makeup monster stamps. This little guy, hiding under a pile of leaves, is called Leif Monster and my papers are Basic Grey's Mellow

I coloured my Monster and shaded the background with copics and used nestabilities to cut out the circle/scalloped circle. The matching sentiment comes with the stamp.

I also used the sketch from the very first Quixotic Paperie sketch challenge when creating my card. Have you entered??? Don't forget - a random winner will receive a £15 prize to use at Quixotic Paperie! You can find the post HERE

I can see these cute monsters being firmly placed on my favourites list!!
Thanks for looking.

Christmas Trio

Good morning all!! I've had time to schedule my post this week so it's going up early! ;) I know, I know.

So here's the deal.. you know when you sit down to colour and it just ain't happening? No? Okay, just me then.. Well I had planned on making a card using a gorgeous Elisabeth Bell stamp and the new Quixotic Sketch, but I just couldn't get my colouring to work. :( Stoopid. So instead I aimed for something I've been making a lot of lately - Christmas cards.

I've been making SO many the past few weeks that I've even started turning to non Christmas themed products to make my projects. So I thought I'd show you all how to use a none Christmas related paper pack. My Minds Eye - Portobello Road. Gorgeous colours and designs, but so far from Christmas - so how did I go about it all?! It's simple.. I kept my cards.. well.. simple. :)

Here is a picture of all three cards together. I used some cream linen cardstock for each card base as it went so well with the patterned paper.

This is my fave card of the set. I think. I've used some striped patterned paper which I have cut at a diagonal - I find diagonal stripes so much more fun. For embellishment I added two teeny tiny chipboard baubles from MiC!

I hope you've enjoyed looking at this little Christmas set. I had real fun making it, and it was great to take a break from colouring. Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you're up to! :)

The snowflake and swirls are made using a Whiff of Joy die and also stamps.
