Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps - Preview!

Just to let you know that Elaine is showing a preview of the upcoming and totally adorable new release by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps, over on her blog - Quixotic Cards - today!

The Elisabeth Bell for SCACD "Peeker" release will be available on Friday 8th April 2011 from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design in the US and from Quixotic Paperie for UK/European customers.  More previews will be posted by the SCACD Design Team over the next few days, so keep your eyes on the SCACD Store Blog!

I'm on cloud 9!

Hello everyone, Mary J here!  My card for you today uses Judy from one the recent 50's Kraftin' Kimmie release - she is sooo cool, don't you think?!

Yeah, you might want to put some sunglasses on, lol!!  I wanted to join in with this week's Kraftin Kimmie challenge for their theme of "Welcome Spring".  Well, in the East Sussex countryside at the moment the daffodils are trumpeting very loudly and brightly!  Hence, the yellow!

That gorgeous paper is from the Echo Park Little Boy collection kit and do you like that perfect little bow?  I invested in the Bow-Easy Bow Tying Template - no longer will I have squewiffy bows ever again!

That's it from me today - thanks for visiting and hope to see you again soon!

Well enjoy your Saturday.

Now in stock at Quixotic Paperie and at the special price of £29.99 until 31st March (usually £34.99)...

It's all about the shoes!

Good morning! It is Friday and that means it is time for me to share with you some lovely Quixotic Paperie products.

Today I have coloured a lovely Kraftin Kimmie stamp.  This one is called 'Cinderella'. When I saw this stamp I knew I wanted to have a go colouring all the delicious folds of her dress. What a lovely challenge to bring her dress to life. The sentiment on the card comes with the image when you purchase it!

I have also used some lovely papers from Prima called 'Moulin Rouge'. I love the deep rich colours on this 6 x 6 pad. The flowers are made from a MFT (My Favourite Things) die.. For the centre of the flowers I used one of the gorgeous beads from Quixotic Paperie.

A little close up of the flowers.
Thanks for your visit today!
Have a fabulous Friday!

Judy

Miss you...

Hello everyone and I hope you are all having a great week!  Mary J here to share with you some goodies I used from Quixotic Paperie to make this sassy yet cute card!

Don't you just luuurve her?!  She is one of three from The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Hats Off set and I matched her up with the red teeny tiny dots and ledger papers from the My Minds Eye Stella & Rose Gertie paper pack.  I then used my trusty Viva Decor Gloss Gel pen in opaque white to create those little pearls - I love that I can make the lickle, ickle dots with it!  I used the Ranger Archival Ink in Sepia to age it a little and finished it off with a sentiment from CC Designs Summer sentiment set.  She does look a little wistful, don't you think?

That's it from me today - see you next week!

Anniversary Flowers

Hi Guys got a little make for you today that is just perfect for using up those little bits of paper so that you can have an excuse to buy lots of new paper of course!

I've used the Fancy Pants Rusted Sun paper for the flower and leaves and added a button and some embroidery thread to finish the flower.

The flower is one of my total favourite flowers to make and it is very easy too, so if you haven't made one of these before here is a very quick how to:

You will need:
Patterned paper, embossing tool and mat and something to make circles with such as a template or your nesties or you can use bottles to draw around if you don't have anything else.

Cut out three circles from the patterned paper and have them decreasing in size so that they fit inside one another. The cutting doesn't have to be perfect as you can distress the edges (I've used my favourite paper distressor a seam ripper/ unpicker).

Using a foam mat as support, mould the circles into shallow bowl shapes by rubbing the large end of an embossing tool in the centre of the circle and working in circles move out to the edges. You will have to vary the pressure depending on the thickness of your paper. If your paper is thin then only use slight pressure.

Cut a couple for leaf shapes, distress the edges and mould just as before. I stick mine together with silicone glue but you can use tapes or other glues just as easily.

There you go, a little circle flower.

Hope you have a Saturday full of flowers.

An English Rose

Happy Thursday everyone, it's Mary J here!  Some of you may remember my card here where I used the new release Victoria Bonita by Victoria Case in a French style.  I love this little lady so much that I wanted to try her out in an English style too so I inked her up and here's what I came up...

Isn't she lovely?  I teamed her up papers from the BasicGrey Green at Heart paper pack and those gorgeous Jenni Bowlin pearl pins in cream - aren't they luscious?!!  A real touch of luxury!  You can buy some of those pearly beads that I've used as the flower centres from here.

That's it from me today - enjoy the rest of your week and thanks for stopping by!
