Quixotic Challenge #30 - We're Back With Judy's Sketch!

We're back and ready to go after our little break!  The blog sidebar has been updated with the rules, which will hopefully be a little clearer and easier to follow now!  Any questions, just email us at the email address provided in the sidebar.

The most notable change to the challenge is that in addition to the monthly prize draw, the Design Team will be picking their favourite entry from the month to be "Pick Of The Month".  Our Pick Of The Month will be invited to join us as a Guest Designer for the following month of challenges!

We are also trying out "Inlinkz" now, instead of Mr. Linky.  It's pretty straightforward - just click on the "Add Your Link" button at the bottom of this post and enter the link to your blog post and the other requested details.

Each month the prize will be a £15.00 voucher for Quixotic Paperie.

>>>>>> FOR THE FULL RULES PLEASE SEE THE SIDEBAR >>>>>>

Now on to the fun stuff!

This week we have one of Judy's fab sketches for you.  We can't wait to see what you do with this one!

Feel free to play around with it a little - just make sure all the elements are there and that we can still recognise it! Embellish it up, leave it simple - whatever you like!

The Design Team have some wonderful inspiration to share, as always!  And there is even more now that we have two wonderful new additions to the team - Kim Costello and Emma Lockley!  If you have the time, do visit them and leave a comment, it's always appreciated!

Sweet Summertime & Take A Walk In The Park!

The gorgeous new 12" x 12" paper collection kit from Echo Park has arrived in stock!  A Walk In The Park is just as fabulous as their debut collection - Sweet Summertime - of which I have also received a top up!

Our fabulous PaperBabe Kim Costello used the yummy Sweet Summertime papers on her blog hop card last week, so you can see just how bold and gorgeous the designs are!  The stamps she used are both from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps collection, also available now at Quixotic Paperie!

Also received today - restocks of all the Bazzill Basics Jewel Templates.  Do I need to remind you how fab these are? ;)

*** LATEST ADDITIONS ***

My Mind's Eye Meets Mo's Diva

The new My Mind's Eye papers Meadowlark Dawn available over at Quixotic Paperie are so stylish. I love the shabby chic black and off-white colour scheme and thought that all it needed was a highlight colour to really set it off!

Thought the colours work perfectly with this little Diva which is one of Mo Manning's lovely illustrations available as a rubber stamp at Quixotic Paperie.

I've used some flat backed pearls, some that I've coloured with my Copic pens, and a large pinwith a pin cap to embellish the card.

Hope you are having a good Diva tantrum day!
Kim

New Mo Manning rubber at Quixotic Paperie

[click on the pic to enlarge it]

Happy Father's Day everyone!

Today I'd like to share with you a card I've made with one of the brand new Stamping Bella Mo Manning rubber stamps that are now in stock and ready to buy at Quixotic Paperie.  This FABULOUS stamp is appropriately called "Game On" and can be purchased HERE.  I love using large stamps (this one is 3.5" x 3.25") as then the image becomes the focal point of the card.

I also used some paper from the fabulous Cosmo Cricket 'Joy Ride' 6x6 mini deck, which is my current go-to for male cards!  I usually find adult male cards almost impossible to make, but with these new Mo Manning stamps, they are no-brainers and a pleasure to create!

The next new-release-Stamping-Bella-Mo-Manning stamp I'm going to use is "Big Guy Grilling" - every man I know seems to love being in charge of the BBQ!  I'm positive this stamp is going to sell out fast, so hop on over to QP now and grab yours ... but be prepared to spend loads as Elaine has added tonnes of new goodies to the store ... Echo Park Summertime paper pack ... TGF Sunshine Stamp Kit ... Tim Holtz 12x12 Lost and Found paper pads ... CC Designs Sweet November June Release (Amy's wonderful mermaids!) ... in fact too much to mention here!!  Go to the main page of QP to see a full list of all the new yumminess!

Thanks for popping by and have a fabulous day!

Hugs,

Quixotic Challenge #29 - Fold It!

Before I give you the details for this week's challenge, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who entered and took note of the new challenge guidelines.  The decision to alter the rules was not taken lightly.  That said, unfortunately the new guidelines don't seem to have been clear enough, and many entries had to be removed from Mr. Linky last week.

TO ENTER THE CHALLENGE YOU NEED TO USE A STAMP OR OTHER FOCAL PRODUCT FROM A RANGE STOCKED BY QUIXOTIC PAPERIE.

Full guidelines can be seen HERE.  if you create a scrappy style card that does not feature a stamped image - just make sure the papers you have used are from a range available at Quixotic Paperie.  Simple!

We have decided to be a little looser than originally intended, so if you use any Whimsy Stamps image, you can enter, because some of the Whimsy Stamps range are available at Quixotic Paperie.  You do not need to check that the image itself is available.  Same goes for Mo Manning - you may enter using any Mo Manning image, because we stock both the Mo Manning for Stamping Bella and Stampavie ranges.

I hope that is a little clearer for everyone!

Now, on to the fun!!

Rowena set the challenge this week, and she would like you to....

*** Fold It! ***
Create something with more than one fold.  e.g. fancy fold cards, boxes etc.

The DT have created some gorgeous samples this week, so be sure to visit them all and leave them some love!

Elaine used: Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Tubing Miles" (available as of 13/06/10),

Many of the products used by the Design Team
Please see their individual blogs for full details.

To enter the challenge, please add your name and a link to your creation in Mr. Linky below. The link can be to a post on your blog or to an online gallery, as long as the link goes directly to your creation and not simply to your blog or gallery. The creation must also be a new one, please do not link to old posts or old gallery uploads.

If Mr. Linky isn't showing, please come back and try again later - sometimes he likes to go for a wander!

Email submissions are also welcome, please send them to quixoticcreations@googlemail.com with the subject: "Quixotic Challenges Email Entry".
